BJWC Announces Spring Fundraiser with Casino Royale Night

The Barrington Junior Women’s Club (BJWC) is bringing the glamour and drama of Monaco’s Casino Royale to 60010 to its Spring Fundraiser. BJWC’s “Casino Royale” will offer an evening filled with roulette, craps and, of course, blackjack. The Spring Fundraiser will be held at the Biltmore Country Club in Barrington on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 6:30 p.m.

Casino Royale Co-Chair Jolene Sroka promises, “Another fun Juniors event that will have something for everyone while giving back to our amazing community.”

If you like to gamble, hit one of the many tables. For those of you that want to learn to gamble, the dealers are available to teach you first-hand how to place your bets. If you’re interested in dancing the night way, the Chicago based band David Rothstein Music will perform all the hits.

A photo booth, live and silent auctions, raffle, dinner, and unlimited cocktails will be available for all to enjoy.

“We are so excited to be bringing back such a fun and entertaining evening with a twist on the casino theme. Last year’s event was so well received by Juniors and our supporters that we are anticipating another successful event with a large number of members and their friends in attendance,” said Kelly Asper, Casino Royale Co-Chair.

“This glamorous night is our only couples event of the year and is a terrific opportunity to bring people together and have fun while doing good for all the groups and causes BJWC supports,” said BJWC President, Mary Dale.

This fundraiser benefits Barrington Junior Women's Club (BJWC), a 501(c)(3) not for profit organization comprised of women from the Northwest suburbs of Chicago. For eight decades, BJWC has been focused on charitable giving in the greater Barrington area. Monies will go toward well-established grant award programs for local charities that provide programs for children and teens, seniors, and families in Barrington and surrounding communities. Additionally, monies raised will go toward a yearly scholarship awarded to Barrington High School seniors who demonstrate strong academic, volunteer, and leadership efforts.

Over the years, the BJWC’s charity initiatives have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for local grants. A special focus will be placed this year on celebrating the 20th Anniversary of BJWC’s Safety Town program. Proceeds from Casino Royale will fund a special event surrounding this milestone, along with support for our annual grant, scholarship and service programs.

Limited to 250 attendees, Casino Royale tickets are now on sale at for $100. For retailers, boutiques or local businesses interested in donating auction items, please contact the co-chairs listed below. For sponsorship opportunities, please contact Kathy Brodin ( or Shefali Bhuva (
