Barrington 220 and the Barrington Area Chamber of Commerce partnered to teach 5th grade students some basic business principles in creating, marketing a selling the best lemonade.
For the past few weeks business leaders have volunteered their time to meet with students at Lines and Hough Schools. Students organized into teams and each had their own mentor to help them through the process. First deciding what type of lemonade they would like to create, what they should name or brand their product, how they should market their drink to a target audience.
Wednesday afternoon at Lines Elementary School teams set up their booths and opened for business! Select judges among the crowd invited to try products, winning teams will be invited to showcase their product at the upcoming BizEd Community Expo hosted by the Barrington Area Chamber of Commerce at Barrington High School on April 12th.
The BizEd Expo will be a great opportunity to show support for these budding entrepreneurs, while checking out all the great service and business providers in the Barrington Area.
