BJWC Grants

Barrington Junior Women's Club awards grants to community organizations on an annual basis. Grant selection is based on direct positive impact on women and children in the Barrington area.   The application period is now closed for 2017.  Application period will re-open in January 2018.   

BJWC Scholarships

Barrington Junior Women’s Club awards 2 types of scholarships each year. Criteria is listed below for each one:

Janice Clark Presidential Scholarship – is a single scholarship awarded to a Barrington High School Senior student who displays leadership, outstanding excellence in academics, and community service throughout high school. Applicants must be in the top 25% of the class and be involved as a leader in one or more extra-curricular activities and have 100 hours of volunteer service during high school.

Community Service Scholarships – are awarded to Barrington High School seniors to recognize outstanding service to the community. Students must have served the community 200 hours or more over four years and have a minimum GPA of 3.2.

Scholarship period closed; application period will re-open January 2018.

BJWC Janice Clarke Presidential Scholarship ($5,000)

  • Liana Fu, attending University of Chicago
  • Kyle Krueger, attending Rochester Institute of Technology
  • Jack Longo, attending The University of Southern California
  • Julia Warheit, attending The University of Wisconsin, Madison

Each June, BJWC honors the scholarship winners at our last meeting of the year. It also provides the opportunity for our members to meet the winners and learn more about their community service efforts
